In case you haven’t heard, women’s football is all the rage.

After England enjoyed a superb run to finish third at the recent World Cup in Canada, women’s football is set to take off and more than 2000 travelled to Boreham Wood to watch Arsenal Ladies as the WSL got back underway at the weekend.

Arsenal went into the game second in the table but faced current champions Liverpool, who were victorious. Given the lead by England’s Farah Williams, Liverpool were 2-0 ahead when Arsenal and ex-Barcelona winger Natalia Pablos Sanchon scored a beautiful goal.

The game ended 3-1 with Liverpool scoring a third while Arsenal chased an equaliser, but Natalia’s superb finish at least gives us something to shout about.
