Aaron Ramsey claims that no one can question Arsenal’s ability on the pitch, it’s just consistency and keeping everyone fit that’s the key.

Echoeing the views of the manager, his teammates and pretty much the entire footballing world, the midfielder highlighted the importance of keeping the whole squad fit for the entirety of the season. We had some big players out for large periods of time last season – Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott to name a few – and it cost us majorly.

“Hopefully we can get off to a good start this season and put ourselves in a great position early on,” the Welshman said. “We know we have the players and the quality to hurt other teams and get points.”

He continued, “There is no question about our ability, but it’s about whether we can keep everyone fit and I am fairly confident we can.”

Again, as many other players have, he used 2014/15 Premier League winners and our new goalkeeper’s former team, Chelsea, as an example.

“Chelsea were top mainly all the way through, they hardly slipped up and that is what we have to try and do.”

It’s true. Arsene Wenger has been saying it was a million years. Consistency is key, even if you’re not playing perfect football week in, week out, grinding out win-after-win is the most effective way to earn success.
