Aaron Ramsey spoke at the New Balance launch of the Visaro Boot in London about Petr Cech’s experience and how it could be useful to the team in the new season.

Something the playmaker referenced was the goalkeeper’s previous success. Cech won numerous trophies during his 11 year stint at Chelsea and having a winning mentality is often cited as a quality which breeds success. Ramsey seems to agree, and pin-pointed this as one of the reasons the Czech international will be fantastic for our team next season.

Speaking about Arsenal’s new signing, the Welshman said, “It’s a great signing. He’s been there and done it, so he knows what it’s all about and what’s required to go on and win things.”

The first team have slowly started filtering back into pre-season training but neither Ramsey or Cech have been part of this group yet. Ramsey said, “His experience will be vital to us, and there’s no doubt about his qualities so we’re all looking forward to him joining up.”

The 24-year-old has been having a well-earned break this summer after featuring 41 times for us last season and playing for his national team in a fantastic 1-0 win against Belgium on 12th June.

It sounds as if the team are just excited to watch Cech in action as we are.
