Unless you have been living under a rock or in a place with a poor internet connection you will know that Arsenal have signed Petr Čech.

Despite falling out of favour at Chelsea, the goalkeeper’s move to Arsenal was still not expected with many believing Jose Mourinho would not sell to the Gunners. Well, Čech wanted Arsenal and he got his move. Everyone is excited, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is no different.

Speaking to Arsenal Player the midfielder hailed the goalkeeper as one of the greatest in the world.

When Čech joined Premier League champions Chelsea, the Arsenal and England star was just 10 years old and says the Czech international will only improve the side with his quality and experience. The 33 year-old has won everything, with four Premier League titles joined by one Champions League medal and four FA Cups.

Now Oxlade-Chamberlain hopes that the addition of the goalkeeper will enable him to add to his two FA Cup winners’ medals.

The midfielder is clearly impressed by Čech as a goalkeeper as well as a character, who he expects to guide Arsenal’s young stars. The winning mentality of the goalkeeper should make an impression on the Arsenal squad, who are only more likely to have success with the addition of the Chelsea legend.
