Samir Nasri has denied rumours that he asked to return to Arsenal.

Reports have been doing the rounds that the Manchester City man had phoned Arsene Wenger to ask to return to the club but that Wenger had told him there was no room for him in the squad.

Now, taking to his official Twitter, Nasri has dismissed the reports, calling them ‘silly stories.’

Nasri left Arsenal in 2011 to join City and since that time has angered Arsenal fans with his constant moaning in the press.

It’s hard to believe that any Arsenal fans would actually want to see him return to the club, not only because of his behaviour since he left but because he isn’t better (or even as good) as the players we already have.

So, thanks for putting our minds at rest Sami!
