It’s unlikely that, if you’ve been following this window’s transfer rumours, you won’t have heard that we’re supposedly signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.
Since the dawn of time, but particularly during this window, we’ve been linked with the 27-year-old but over the last few days, the rumours have begun to hot up. Despite the player’s agent claiming he would “1000%” be staying in Spain, Benzema was left on the bench during the La Liga team’s most recent game.
Benzema himself seems to enjoy the media hubbub surrounding him and has posted on his Instagram account a picture of him on a private jet with the captain translating as, “leave the past in the past.”
Whether the forward is just having a bit of fun with us, I don’t know, but it’s all very exciting.
