Petr Cech has tweeted that he’s keen to become part of Arsenal’s spine.
The former Chelsea keeper posted another picture of him in the Arsenal training kit and expressed his desire to become a main part of our team. Having a strong spine in your starting line up can be crucial and communication between these players is also an integral part of being successful. Working together and being on the same wavelength can prove more effective that moments of individual brilliance.
Cech also revealed his potential reason for picking the #33 shirt. Although many could also assume it’s because he signed for us at the age of 33, the Czech international hinted that it could be down to there being 33 vertebrae in the spine – something he wants to be part of.
Either that, or it’s just a rather cool coincidence.
Hope to be a part of the spine of the team – spine has 33 vertebrae … pic.twitter.com/FaWncPx4sM
