Arsenal have already signed Petr Čech this summer and are now set to sign long-term coach Christophe Lollichon across London.

The goalkeeping coach has worked with Čech since he was at Rennes in France before his move to Chelsea 11 years ago and was linked with a switch to the Gunners when Arsenal announced the signing of the former Chelsea goalkeeper earlier this summer.

Nothing came of those rumours but now there are reports saying that the goalkeeping coach will be allowed to swap Cobham for London Colney to team up with the Czech stopper once more.

Lollichon joined Chelsea in 2007 after Čech personally recommended him to the club. The two have a very close relationship and it is hoped that adding the Frenchman will strengthen a part of the training core that has come under some criticism in recent years.

Earlier in the summer Arsenal goalkeeping coach Tony Roberts departed to join former ‘student’ Lukasz Fabianski at Premier League side Swansea City. As a result Arsenal would not have to make any room for Lollichon in order to add another goalkeeping coach.

If he is trusted by Čech and credited with helping the Chelsea legend reach the heights he has managed in his career the move could only be a good one for Arsenal.
