Weeks after Carl Jenkinson completed a move to West Ham for another season-long-loan, 17-year-old George Dobson has transferred to the club permanently.

The youngster featured five times in the UEFA Youth League last season, and nine times in the u21’s Premier League.

It now seems it’s time for the teenage to move on and experience West Ham’s youth squad.

The club sent their well wishes following the transfer, saying, “Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank George for his contribution to the club and to wish him well with his continued development at West Ham.”

Dobson also tweeted on Monday expressing his delight at signing for the Hammers, clearly looking forward to the next stage of his career:

Indeed, hopefully the young centre-back continues to develop and turn into a force to be reckoned with. Although not when West Ham play Arsenal, obviously!
