There is still all to play for on final day with three teams battling for the second place and best third placed position. Costa Rica have two points while Korea Republic and Spain have one.

Final games – Costa Rica v Brazil and Korea Republic v Spain.

Group F

France 0 Colombia 2 Lady Andrade, Usme

England 2 Mexico 1 Kirby, Carney ; F Ibarra

Huge upset in group F where world number three France were beaten 2-0 by Colombia, this was due to a combination of two soft goals given by the French defence, the French attack not clinical at all as usual in recent years and bad refereeing.

England got their first points on board with a well deserved win against Mexico. They were in total control but struggled to find an opening until Mark Sampson sent on Greenwood and Carney. Kirby, who plays in FA WSL 2 at Reading, scored the opener with a clever toe poke and Carney got a header from a quality Greenwood cross. Mexico got one goal back in added time when Bardsley fumbled a shot and it was finished from close range by Ibarra.

Colombia are the surprise team at the top of the group with four points. England are second with three points, France are third, also with three points and Mexico are bottom with a point. All four teams can qualify.

Next up is France v Mexico and England v Colombia

Here is the situation for the four best third placed teams that qualify for the last 16:

Group A Netherlands 3 points 0

Group B Thailand 3 points -3

Group C Cameroon 3 points  +5

Group D Sweden 2 points 0

Group E Spain 1 point -1

Group F france 3 points -1

Group A & B teams play on the 15th of June and are at a disadvantage compared to Group C & D who play a day later and E & F who play two days later and will know how many points they will need to finish in the best third placed teams.
