We’re all used to seeing votes for awards like goal of the season, player of the season and surprise of the season at this time of year, but ‘biggest bromance’ is a new one on me.

What’s even more surprising is that when voting for the award, the Arsenal players have plumped for unlikely duo Mesut Özil and Mathieu Flamini.

The two midfielders share more or less none of their attributes on the pitch, but appear to be best of friends off it.

Which, apparently, is hilarious to the rest of the squad.

Talking about the relationship between Özil and Flamini fellow Arsenal stars Danny Welbeck, Laurent Koscielny, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain struggled to keep straight faces as they mentioned the duos habits such as working out, eating, and even going to the toilet together.

Oxlade-Chamberlain seems perplexed but has decided that Flamini simply wanted to be friends with Mesut Özil and, to be totally honest, who can blame him?
