Tomas Rosicky may have another year at Arsenal, but the midfielder is far from happy with the situation.

Speaking while on international duty, Tom has revealed, not for the first time, his frustration at the situation which saw him struggle to make the starting XI for most of the season despite the impact that he is clearly able to make when used.

“I cannot explain [the situation] and I don’t know how I got this comment [?],” he told the press as captain of the Czech Republic.

“Since then, when the coach took the option [to extend my deal for another year], I was not even on the bench.

“I laugh, but of course it’s not funny.

“To me it makes no sense. When I was not even selected [for the cup final] it was a huge disappointment.

“If I fell from the pace in training, it would be a problem.

“The coach indicated in January that he would probably take the option. After [indecipherable] which was introduced in March, [he] told me that he would not let me leave.

“That’s it. I start preparing for the season at Arsenal and that’s my next plan.”

Rosicky spoke earlier in the year about how he considered his Arsenal future in January for the first time and it seemed for all the world that he would be off in the summer, especially with Sparta Prague sniffing around and heavily interested in bringing their former player back.

While we don’t want Tom to be sad, we can’t hide that we are delighted that he will be with us for one more season at least.
