Tomas Rosicky knows a tad more about the Petr Cech to Arsenal transfer saga than us and, as usual, there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

On Monday, Daily Cannon brought you the news that although Tomas Rosicky looks to be staying at Arsenal, he’s not too happy about it. However, it also seems that the fellow Czech international had his say on the rumours that Cech could be leaving Chelsea for Arsenal this summer.

Speaking candidly, our Little Mozart said, “I know about some things from both sides but I will not interfere. It could even turn against me. Both sides know what they are doing. Arsenal is a top world team.”

He added, “Players want to be transferred there [to Arsenal], that is nothing new, it is a fantastic club.”

It therefore seems that there’s more substance behind these rumours than I for one originally thought and a potential move for the goalkeeper could indeed be on the cards.

Having a world glass goalkeeper has been something of a sticking point for a while now. Many have a lot of faith in our young Pole, Wojciech Szszesny, and I do like him, but, like many others, I also believe he needs work and having a tried and tested ‘keeper like Cech to learn from for a couple of seasons can only be a good thing.

What’s more, Szszesny has made it clear that he’s not leaving. Therefore, if the youngster is willing to learn, again, this can only be a positive in my opinion.

Cech is due to hold talks with Chelsea about his future soon, saying, “First I have to agree with the club what the conditions would be for leaving.

“I keep all options open, regardless of the country. I will decide based on what is best for me and my family. It does not matter whether it is England, Germany, France or Spain. If I move, it brings difficulties. It must change everything, looking for housing, a school for children and so on. Therefore, the sooner I know what to do the better. I can plan everything and even rest before the new season.”
