Arsenal have completed the signing of young Romanian Vlad Dragomir from Romanian side Poli Timisoara.

The midfielder is only 16 years of age so will join up with one of the youth teams, almost certainly the u18s, ahead of the new season.

Dragomir is a central midfielder and is the first Romanian to ever be signed by the club.

The teenager currently captains the Romania u16 team and had already made his professional debut, featuring twice off the bench for Poli Timisoara in the Romanian second division towards the end of the season.

Additions

With the likes of Gedion Zelalem and Daniel Crowley promoted to the u21s the u18 side struggled last season and Arsenal have reacted with a number of additions.

Daily Cannon have already written about Jeff Reine Adelaide and Yassine Fortune – exciting French teenagers signed from RC Lens.

Dragomir will be much cheaper than the supposed £3M that Lens will receive, with Arsenal only having to pay £100,000 in compensation.

Other than his Bond-villain name there’s not much to say about Dragomir. Our first chance to see him will likely be in the UEFA Youth League this season.
