Lukas Podolski isn’t fooling anyone, and he doesn’t even seem to be trying anymore – he doesn’t want to return to Arsenal.

Speaking in a press conference for the German national team Podolski mentioned his future.

“It seems as though I’m going back to London, but something can always happen,” said Podolski.

“If I have to I will be with Arsenal.”

Even German broadcaster Sky Sport HD could sense the disdain in his words.

The TV channel tweeted “Real joy sounds different” along with Podolski’s quote from the press conference ahead of Germany’s game against the USA.

Speculation

Rumours last week linked Podolski with Galatasaray but were quickly quashed by the Turkish club.

Podolski is now expecting rumours suggesting a move to Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen but has already rubbished them in the very same press conference on Monday afternoon.

“There will be speculation soon about me moving to Werder Bremen. People will make too much of that.”

It seems like Arsenal will struggle to get him off the books this summer.

Unwanted

It doesn’t seem as though Podolski is wanted by Inter Milan, or back at Arsenal.

In London there are a queue of forwards all ahead of him, while Inter aren’t even linked after he scored just once in 18 appearance since joining on loan in January.

The Arsenal squad doesn’t need him, and nobody else wants him.

Podolski is limited as a player and his recent spell in Serie A has dealt with the myth that he scores whenever he plays.

For the sake of Lukas Podolski as well as Arsenal: will somebody, anybody, bid for him?
