Whether you believe the rumour about Arsenal stores refusing to print Podolski shirts or not, one thing is clear, he’s not long for this world as an Arsenal player.

Every passing day seems to bring him closer to a move away from London and towards Turkey where he is now said to have come to an agreement with Galatasaray to spend the next four years there.

Speaking to the press in the country, Poldi said “I grew up in a Turkish neighbourhood. I know Turkish. I do not have to play in the Champions League. So Galatasaray’s offer is attractive.”

It’s not really clear what more we can add to this story, such as been the dearth of news about this week we’ve pretty much said all there is to possibly say about Podolski from all angles.

I’m sure it won’t be long until we start to see Poldi’s Twitter hashtag offensive aimed at the Gala fans. Will it be enough to cover his flaws on the pitch?

Only time will tell.
