David Ospina has spoken out about his potential move to Fenerbahce and claims to not know much about the situation, which he said is between his agent and the club.

As soon as the rumours Petr Cech to Arsenal rumours started, the main question on everyone’s lips was who are we going to sell to make room? Since Wojciech Szszesny has made it clear he wants to remain a Gunner, thoughts turned to Ospina, who only joined the club one season ago.

Although the Colombian had a decent enough record, this was more due to the clicking of the whole team, rather than his individual ability and many remained unconvinced. Combine this with the goal he let in against Swansea City at the Emirates and you’d be hard-pressed to find an Arsenal fan that would choose him over the Chelsea ‘keeper.

Now, it’s looking more likely than ever that Cech will be an Arsenal player next season.

Speaking to the press while away on national duty, Ospina said, “I’m not in a position to consider the transfer. I would betray my team mate if I did. My concentration is on the national team. [My agent] is looking at [the situation]. I do not ask him anything.”

Of course, this is what I could make out from the translation but the general jist implies his agent is handling the situation while he’s away and that he doesn’t know much about it.

Fenerbahce are thought to want the 26-year-old’s signiture for €5m and, if we do buy Cech, I reckon it’s likely we’ll let him go.
