Ryo Miyaichi has said that he is ‘very happy’ to have signed for FC St Pauli and called the German club his ‘new home.’

Leaving Arsenal on a free transfer, the youngster was picked up by St Pauli and signed on a three-year deal.

Undergoing his medical on Wednesday, the deal was announced on Thursday after Arsenal opted against retaining the pacey Japanese wide man.

Injuries severely hindered his time at Arsenal and while on loan and he was never able to fulfill even a fraction of the promise he showed when he was signed as a schoolboy.

We wish him all the best at his new ‘home’.
