Despite being made first choice goalkeeper last season, David Ospina’s move away from the Emirates is looking imminent.

After a couple of goalkeeping howlers from Wojciech Szczesny last season, Ospina was asked to stand in as our starting keeper and, if reports are to be believed, he assumed this would extend to the 2015/16 season. Therefore, the rumoured signing of Chelsea goalkeeper, Petr Cech, is said to have irked him and he wants out.
Presumably, Cech would walk straight into our starting lineup and Szczesny would sit on the bench, leaving Ospina to become back-up to the Pole and reserve team goalie. However, Ospina thought he’d done enough to remain top dog and put Arsene Wenger off buying someone else. Well, he was obviously wrong.

Self belief is one thing but after that Swansea goal, it’s hard to make a case for the 26-year-old.

There have been rumours of transfer to Fenerbahce, which the Colombian has been vague on, suggesting that this could be his chosen destination.
