After gaining USA citizenship last year, youngster Gedion Zelalem made his fifth appearance for the national team against Colombia U20s on Wednesday.

The midfielder played 87 minutes for the team, who won 1-0 from a Rubio Rubin goal in the 58th minute.

During the match, the 18-year-old showed his eagerness to drive play forward and showcased some excellent skill, skipping over players and showing hunger to win the ball back.

Zelalem has only featured twice for the Arsenal first team since he joined in 2013. However, considering how young her is, this is hardly a surprise. He’s been considerably more active in our youth team and has appeared 19 times this season for us in the U21 Premier League.

Here are some of his highlights against the Colombia U20s.
