Since we signed him in 2012, Santi Cazorla has become a hit with the fans and thankfully, it doesn’t look as if he’s going anywhere soon.

Speaking to Amy Lawrence from the Guardian recently, the Spaniard was keen to put an end to the rumours that he may be off to Atletico Madrid in the summer, and made it known he only had one team on his mind right now.

“For the time being, Arsenal is my home,” the midfielder said. “I’m not thinking about the future. I live day by day and right now Arsenal is my way. It’s my life.”

Although the denial isn’t exactly him pledging allegiance to us for the rest of his career, at least it shows that his hearts currently in the right place, which, after the season the 30-year-old has just had, is reassuring.

Cazorla has now scored 27 goals and assisted a staggering 38 in 148 total appearances for the Gunners, making him a huge asset in our midfield. It’s a privilege that we get to watch him in his golden years and hopefully ‘Oooh Santi Cazorla‘ will be ringing out around the Emirates for many seasons to come.
