The FA WSL second half of the season will start on the 12th of July and the Arsenal Ladies will be the first team to wear the new home kit in a competitive game.

Arsenal Ladies will be at home to Liverpool Ladies on Sunday the 12th of July with a late kick-off at 6pm, due to the game being shown live on BT Sport 1.

Arsenal currently sit in second place in the League with 12 points, trailing League leaders Chelsea Ladies by two points. Six games out of 14 have been played so far, so the halfway point of the season will be reached after that game.

Liverpool Ladies are the current title holders winning it the last two seasons. They have six points but a game in hand over the Gunners and they will need to come back from their Borehamwood trip with three points to catch up with the top two teams.

Arsenal Ladies should be without Carla Humphrey who will be in international duties with England u19 while Liverpool Ladies will be likely to be missing Katie Zelem and Mollie Green who should also be on their way to Israel for the u19 finals.

Arsenal have five players currently in Canada with England: Siobhan Chamberlain, Alex Scott, Lianne Sanderson, Jordan Nobbs and Casey Stoney. Liverpool have one player in Fara Williams. They could be home as soon as next Sunday giving them a two weeks rest or – the best case scenario – by the fifth of sixth of July.

That would leave them with barely a week’s rest.

In terms of transfer activity, we are in the middle of the one month summer transfer window and the only signing so far has been England u17 goalkeeper Sian Rogers from Birmingham City Ladies. A few youngsters might leave the club including one moving to a foreign side.
