Arsenal are allegedly interested in signing Carlos Bacca according to a report in Portugal on Abola.

Currently playing for Sevilla, the forward has apparently caught the attention of a host of clubs, amongst which Arsenal stand out as being the side trying the hardest to sign him.

So the story goes.

28 and under contract until 2018, he would be available for around €21.5m. With a goal average of one every two games last season, that would seem like a most reasonable price.

Arsene Wenger has already ruled out any players who come in the mega-price bracket but this sort of amount (£15.7m) is one that will surely have caught the eye of the Arsenal manager if it’s true.

While it’s hard to know what position Arsenal will look at strengthening, with Lukas Podolski set to leave, Joel Campbell probably following him and Yaya Sanogo still trying to gain control of his legs, chances are a forward will be on the boss’s shopping list.

At this point it’s also hard to know how much truth there is in this link, but it’s more likely than some of the other craziness doing the rounds out there.
