Arsenal have been linked to a number of players already, some reasonable, some not so much, but Arsene Wenger revealed he’s not in the market for anyone just yet.

Speaking about the possible addition of new players to the team, the boss said, “We hope that everyone comes back from international duty in good shape. We have to start strong and we can prepare for that well now because we have no qualifier for the Champions League.

“We’ll see if we can do something to strengthen the team after.”

The news is likely to perturb some fans who believe that new players need time to bed into the team properly. However, it’s probably wise to remember that Wenger doesn’t always speak the whole truth when it comes to transfers – far from it – and it’s just as likely that he’s got his eye on the players he wants already.

A player who we’ve been heavily linked for is Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, who only has one more year left on his contract with the Blues and seems to be pushing for a move in order to play first team football again.

The world class keeper is proven and would be an outstanding addition to your team, especially after David Ospina’s recent mistakes against Swansea City and then West Bromich Albion.
