Arsenal winger Theo Walcott hasn’t signed a new deal yet and, according to Arsene Wenger, he’s not leaving, even if he doesn’t.

In his press conference ahead of Swansea City, the boss made it very clear that even though Walcott had not yet signed a new contract, that he would not be leaving this summer.

The update that Walcott isn’t any closer to signing a new contract doesn’t come as a surprise to many who believe that Englishman has indeed already got one foot out the door. However, the fact that we could hold onto him and let him go on a free is a new development.

The 26-year-old has spent much of the season sidelined and later benched.

With rumours that Liverpool want him, it’ll be interesting to see if Walcott tries to force a move this summer or whether he’ll remain potentially sat on our bench for another season.

Only time will tell. I just hope a decision is made one way or the other soon.
