Despite Aaron Ramsey featuring in our 1-0 loss against Swansea City earlier this week, Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem fully confident the midfielder will be fit for the trip to Old Trafford.

In his presser ahead of the match on Sunday, Arsene Wenger revealed his team news.

Fortunately – or perhaps unfortunately, considering Monday’s result – our squad travelling up north seems to be unchanged.

“We have a similar squad available to [what] has been available recently,” Wenger said.

However, when speaking about Ramsey, Wenger didn’t seem so sure, saying, “Ramsey I think will be alright.”

Ramsey has missed training all week with Wenger telling the official site this week

“Aaron Ramsey is not in training yet but he should be better tomorrow (Friday). I don’t think we have any big injuries, maybe Welbeck will be available but at the moment he looks short.”

It also looks like bad news for the former Manchester United striker, however, as Danny Welbeck is now predicted to miss out on the trip to Old Trafford.

“Welbeck is short a fraction but is not far away from returning. We would have loved to have him available but we will have to do without him.”

Again, this may be the boss playing mindgames and for all we know Welbeck is already packing his Louis Vuitton washbag for the trip, especially as the boss told the dot com on Thursday “Danny Welbeck has a little possibility to be fit.” Although it would be a shame for him not to even make it onto the bench after his previous performance at Old Trafford…but if he’s not fit, he’s not fit.
