Gooners everywhere have the privilege of watching Santi Cazorla week in, week out, and it seems like the boss is a fan of the Spaniard too.

Arsene Wenger spoke of his admiration for Cazorla in his press conference ahead of Swansea City, saying, “He’s a model to watch because he proves no matter how tall you are, it’s how good you are.”

Indeed, Wenger is no stranger to small, skillful midfielders. In fact, it’s a type of player he’s become known for appreciating. A low centre of gravity is a desirable trait in footballers as you not only tend to be quick, but you’re also more dexterous on the ball.

It’s thought that Cazorla is around 5ft4, a couple of inches shorter than Alexis Sanchez and almost a whole foot shorter than striker Olivier Giroud (thanks, Google).

In fact, The Mirror reckons we’ve got one of the shortest teams in the Premier League, only a little bit taller than Everton, while Stoke is obviously full of leggy catwalk models and ranks the tallest.
