On Monday night, Arsenal’s reserves beat Bolton’s 3-1 away at the Macron Stadium.

Goals from Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill, Alex Iwobi and Serge Gnabry secured a comfortable lead, while Bolton’s Jordan Lussey scored the other end.

Ormonde-Ottewill’s scored the opener in the 10th minute, before Lussey equalised in the 12th. It wasn’t until the final 15 minutes that Arsenal picked up the tempo and slotted home their other two goals in quick succession in the 73rd and 77th minutes.

Arsenal’s u21s currently sit in fifth in the second division of the u21 Premier League table and the win saw them move to within six points of Derby in third.

Another positive to take from the match is that Serge Gnabry seems to be back to match fitness and, as you can see from the goal, as clinical as ever. It’ll be interesting to see if he shifts back into our first team next season.
