Manchester United team news has been revealed and it looks like ex-Arsenal star striker, Robin van Persie, could feature against his old team.

The Man United striker, who’s been injured for most of the season, has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer. It’s rumoured that Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale could be brought in instead. Therefore, this could well be van Persie’s last chance to annoy us all and score against the club that made him.

When we played the same fixture last season, van Persie scored the winner in Man United’s 1-0 victory and, if he does play, I’m sure he’ll be looking to do the same again in a bid to prove just how great he is.

Other team news includes the inclusion of Angel Di Maria, also thought to moving away from Man United this summer despite him only being at the club five minutes, Marcos Rojo potentially in the squad, Luke Shaw injured, and star player, Wayne Rooney, supposedly injured as well.

“The situation is not positive for us, [Rooney and Shaw] cannot play, neither of them. Yes it is a short term thing, we have only one match to play, so I think it will be difficult for them to play again this season,” Louis van Gaal said.

Whether their top player is legitimately out for such a large game or whether this is just a matter of managerial mindgames remains to be proven come Sunday.
