Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has returned to training.

The midfielder has been out since the game against Manchester United in the FA Cup with a groin problem that has proven tricky to recover from so this is, indeed, excellent news.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of Monday’s game against Hull, the manger also confirmed that Mathieu Debuchy is a doubt with a hamstring problem while Mikel Arteta is still not ready to return after suffering a setback.

“We have basically a full squad”, Wenger told reporters.

“The only who is a doubt is Debuchy. [Oxlade-]Chamberlain is not completely ready. Diaby trains.

“Arteta is making progress week by week but he needs more time.

“I am happy with the depth of the squad because I have many top international players who sometimes cannot make the squad.

“It took us some time to find a good balance in the team and we dropped some points this season because of that.”

What it means is that Wenger has an almost full squad to pick from for the game at the KC, and they travel there knowing that a win basically confirms a top four place and Champions League football once again.
