That’s more like it, Arsenal!

A superb display from the Gunners in the final Premier League game of the season as they brushed West Brom aside with ease.

Where in recent matches we’ve not exactly been ruthless in front of goal, on Sunday we were the opposite. Or, more specifically, Theo Walcott was.

As has become something of a tradition when he’s in contract negotiations, the forward played his socks off, netting a hattrick in the first half.

The team as a whole were slick in their passing, finding spaces and were brilliant with their movement off the ball.

Jack Wilshere, in particular, made it look easy and was constantly driving the team forward whilst making us look dangerous.

A perfect way to wrap up third place.

On to Wembley!

David Ospina 6

Although West Brom didn’t have many attempts on goal, when they did, he conceded. He really should’ve done better. Let’s not talk about his flap at the end of the game.

Hector Bellerin 7.5

Pressing high and consistently – another good game for the youngster.

Gabriel 7

Although our centrebacks didn’t have a huge amount to do, he made a couple of key interceptions.

Per Mertesacker 7

Our BFG didn’t have a huge amount to do at the back but, as I usually find, unlike with forwards, the less you notice the defenders, the better they tend to have played.

Kieran Gibbs 7

Great to see him back on the pitch. A decent performance with some firm challenges and good interceptions.

Francis Coquelin 7

Another solid performance.

Santi Cazorla 8

As usual, our little Spaniard made some fantastic through balls. He and Alexis have gelled so well.

Jack Wilshere 9.5

He had a great game. Constantly driving forward, losing players and finding spaces, and scored a stunner to boot.

Mesut Ozil 8

Ozil had one of those games where he seemed relatively quiet but when you look at his overall contribution to the game, including the goals, you realise he really wasn’t.

Alexis Sanchez 8

Outstanding work rate and flashes of brilliance.

Theo Walcott 10

He scored a first half hattrick and looked as if he could score more. He movement was superb – one of his best games for us.

SUBS

Aaron Ramsey 7

Assured and commanding from the moment he game on. He made some excellent forward passes and always looked a threat. Almost scored a beaut’ in the final 10 minutes. Hit the woodwork twice.

Olivier Giroud 6

Although he’s having trouble finding the net at the moment, he helps the other players by drawing opposition players towards him, thus giving other players, like Ramsey, space to do their magic.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 5.5

Always looked eager but didn’t have enough time to make a real impact.
