Danny Welbeck is the only absentee for Arsenal as they get ready for the FA Cup Final.

The forward, who has been out with a swollen knee since the 0-0 draw with Chelsea is suffering from ‘bone bruising’ that is taking longer than anticipated to heal and the FA have been informed the he will not be available for the international games on 7th and 14th June (v Republic of Ireland and Slovenia).

As we recently reported, Mikel Arteta has returned to training and is available for selection giving Arsene Wenger ‘decisions everywhere’.

“Welbeck will not be fit for Arsenal or England,” the boss said. That’s the only injury.

“We called the FA Yesterday (Tuesday) to explain his bone bruising had not healed. I was confident he would be available but his bone bruising has not healed.

“Mathieu Debuchy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are available. Short on competition, but they are available.

“I have decisions everywhere.”

Wenger would also not be drawn into confirming if Wojciech Szczesny would start the final but it would be a very bold move for the boss to opt to play David Opsina in the showpiece.

“I won’t tell you who will start,” Wenger added. “Most of the time the heroes are the ones who come on. Let’s approach it as a whole squad.”

There was no mention of Abou Diaby.
