Here’s today’s dose of comedy: Arsenal are supposedly being ‘encouraged‘ to sign Manchester United’s Jonny Evans.

In a report by the Metro this week, Arsenal are apparently looking to sign the delightful Man United defender, Jonny Evans, presumably in a bid to deepen our squad and strengthen the back line.

I’m not sure which mysterious person it is who’s supposedly ‘encouraging‘ us to sign him but would they kindly stop please?

The report has no quotes and, in fact, the Metro are also reporting that Everton are going to sign him. Make your mind up.

As usual, typical filler with no substance. The chances of us wanting Jonny Evans, who recently served a ban for spitting at Papiss Cisse during a match, are slim at best.

Usually I’d also mentioned it’s unlikely that United would sell to us but I’m not so sure they care that much anymore, especially if they’re buying in a player of real quality, as is rumoured.
