When is a draw not a draw? When it’s an undeserved draw.

After the first half we had, I’d say we were very lucky to get away with a point there.

Man United turned up prepared. We didn’t. They closed us down, stopped us from playing and made themselves look like passing geniuses in the process.

However, we did come into it a bit more in the second half and although we were lucky to get the goal, we’ve kept third place and look as if this is where we’ll finish this season.

Definitely could’ve done better for their goal. Really not convinced that he should be our first choice goalkeeper anymore.

He used his speed quite well in the second half to snuff out any Man United breaks.

Per Mertesacker 5.5

He didn’t have a great game – left Chris Smalling unmarked a couple of times and was also caught ball watching.

Laurent Koscielny 6

He wasn’t terrible but still wasn’t up to his usual standard. He made some decent interceptions.

Nacho Monreal 6

Kept getting dragged inwards.

He started to let his anger get the better of him against Marouane Fellaini and it could’ve cost us.

Santi Cazorla 6

It’s not often he has a bad game but today he did. He kept misplacing passes and looked generally a bit lethargic.

Aaron Ramsey 7

Our best player on the pitch, which doesn’t say much. Started looking quite isolated on the wing but after Theo Walcott was brought on and he moved to the centre, he made some excellent runs and eventually delivered the pass which led to Walcott’s deflected goal.

Another usually excellent player who just didn’t show up on Sunday.

Alexis Sanchez 5.5

One of Sanchez’s worse games for us. His work rate was there but he insists on holding onto the ball for about 85 years and then losing it in key areas.

Olivier Giroud 6

Again, his work rate and effort is there but he just didn’t have the service on Sunday.

Could’ve done with having him on longer – made some decisive forward passes.

Theo Walcott 6

Needs to work on his strength on the ball still but made some great runs and finally scored a deflected goal.

Mathieu Flamini 4.5

Came on and instantly gave the ball away but he drew a foul and his hair looked quite nice.
