Jose Mourinho has dismissed Arsene Wenger’s claims that managers should be more respectful of each other by, well, being disrespectful.

I know, it’s a shock, right?

Speaking at his press conference on Friday, the Arsenal manager was asked about Mourinho’s comments recently and replied “The biggest thing for a manager is to respect other managers. Some people have to improve on that.”

Of course, this was then put to Mourinho who simply dismissed the topic with a wave of his hand.

If you think that he just didn’t want to get involved and wasn’t actually gesturing at the Arsenal manager, you’d be wrong, because he was then asked about his side’s style of play in the wake of the worst chant ever sung by a set of fans in the history of football which claimed his side were boring, and replied “I do to that the same thing I do to Wenger!”

As we’ve frequently discussed on this site, it is clear that Mourinho is incredibly envious of Wenger and the respect he is afforded across the world of football. Unable to understand why he isn’t given the same appreciation, he should perhaps stop being a hypocrite for five minutes, take his finger out of whatever eye he’s poked it in recently, and take a long hard look at himself.
