Not many people split the opinion of Arsenal fans as much as majority shareholder, Stan Kroenke.

The American, who also owns the Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer, originally increased his shareholding of Arsenal in 2011, and now, according to the Mirror, has bought two more shares.

Many Arsenal fans have questioned Kroenke’s motives, understandably wondering whether the entrepreneur just views our club as another cash cow. In 2014, he angered Arsenal fans by taking £3m out of the club while still increasing ticket prices by 3%.

However, if the new reports are to be believed, he’s looking to back Arsene Wenger, not just figuratively but financially.

Apparently Kroenke and the rest of the Arsenal board recognise that, with the right investment, Arsenal have a very real chance of winning the title next season.

This is his chance to prove to Arsenal fans that although the club is an investment for him, he genuinely cares about winning silverware.
