As was suspected, it looks like Aaron Ramsey is taking longer than expected to recover from the knock he picked up against Hull City last week and Danny Welbeck is still out.

We previously reported on Daily Cannon that Ramsey may not make the Swansea match and this seems to still be the case.

When speaking to the press before the Swansea City match on Monday, Arsene Wenger hinted that the kick the Welshmen got to his leg last week may have been a little worse than he originally anticipated. What was first thought to be a little bit of swelling may actually leave the midfielder sidelined for tomorrow’s game.

“We have an uncertainty about Ramsey. He got a big knock on his fibula. He is 50-50,” the boss said.

On Danny Welbeck, who missed the Hull game due a slight knee injury, Wenger mentioned that he still isn’t quite ready to be put back in the team and will be a bit ‘short‘ for the Swansea game. Although the manager was keen to stress that Welbeck’s injury is not a serious one.

“Welbeck will play again this season. All the medical checks showed nothing major – just an inflammation,” Wenger said.

On Monday we face Swansea who beat us 2-1 last time, after we went 1-0 ahead. Hopefully the potential lack of Rambo won’t result in the same outcome.
