Mathieu Debuchy is a doubt for Monday’s trip to Hull with a hamstring problem.

The right-back, who has only just returned from the dislocated shoulder that ruled him out for three months was almost guaranteed to pick up some sort of niggle or strain and it seems that is exactly what he’s gone and done.

Always good to be reliable.

Speaking to Arsenal.com, the manager revealed that everyone else is fit, apart from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is still struggling with the groin problem which has dogged him for large parts of the season. Weirdly, Wenger omitted him from his update.

Everybody is in good shape, apart from Mathieu Debuchy, who has a little hamstring problem,” the boss said. “We don’t know how bad it is. Apart from that everybody should be available [for the Hull game]. Monday could be too early for him. He got the injury in training.”

Hull will be fired up for the game after their 1-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday night and their manager is already targeting another three points in their bid to secure survival. However, the strength of Arsenal’s squad could make it tricky for last year’s cup finalists.

“We are at a period of the season where it’s going to be important to have everybody on board and to see everyone fit makes us stronger,” Wenger continued. “We are on a good run, we want to keep it going and the fact that we have plenty of [selection] opportunities is very interesting for me.”
