After undergoing surgery for a long-term knee problem almost two months ago, Nikica Jelavic could return against Arsenal tonight.

Hull City have been given a boost ahead of their match against the Gunners with one of their best players returning from injury.

Speaking ahead of the match, manager Steve Bruce said, “Jelavic has trained all week and that is great news for us. He’s trained with the rest of the squad for the last four days so we’ll now see how he is over the next three training sessions.”

It may not be set in stone that the 29-year-old will return against us but, if he does, the importance isn’t lost on Bruce. He added, “We know how important he has been to us this season because 25 of the points we’ve picked up have come with him in the team.”

Although Hull are far from out of the woods, wins against both Crystal Palace and Liverpool have given them a bit of breathing space. However, the team are bound to fancy their chances and could potentially cause an upset against us in a bid to avoid relegation.

If we win, with the right goal difference, we could climb back to second place with a game still in hand over Manchester City.

Let’s hope for a win.
