It probably means nothing because Arsene Wenger isn’t going to buy a goalkeeper this summer, but Petr Cech’s agent has confirmed that his client would be happy to move to Arsenal.

When I first read the headlines on other sites I assumed his agent, Viktor Kolar, had issued some vague statement that didn’t mention Arsenal by name at all, but that’s not the case.

“Arsenal, United or PSG are all top clubs. And Petr would like to join one of them – definitely,” Kolar said.

“Petr expects that [Roman] Abramovic not [Jose] Mourinho will decide about his future, based on their mutual agreement from last year.”

The story has been on-going for a while now with Wenger’s most recent comments on the Czech keeper simply saying ‘I don’t deal in if’s’ while we are lead to believe that Jose Mourinho will try and get Cech to move abroad (if he can’t convince him to stay) while Roman Abramovich would let him leave for the club of his choice.

Regardless, I would be incredibly surprised if he turned up at Arsenal. United look almost certain to lose David de Gea to Real Madrid and while Louis van Gaal has said that Victor Valdes is good enough to be his replacement, I don’t think any of us are buying that.
