There has been many sighting on social media about the Lionesses World Cup photoshoot.

The FA WSL twitter account has now tweeted a picture with the Arsenal Ladies hopefuls.

With Danielle Carter and Leah Williamson being pictured in England gear, this is a clear indication that the two players are in the manager’s thoughts at least for the 35-player-squad that must be submitted to FIFA ahead of the World Cup.

The final 23 player list is drawn from those 35 and will be revealed on the 11th May.

In recent squads Mark Sampson, England manager, has selected five Gunners: Siobhan Chamberlain, Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Jordan Nobbs and Lianne Sanderson.

Danielle Carter, Leah Williamson and Jemma Rose are among those who have not been called up recently who are hoping to gatecrash the party and jump on the plane to Canada.

There is no doubt that Chamberlain, Scott, Nobbs and Sanderson will be on the plane if they are not injured.

Stoney has been on the fringe of the team regularly in recent games mainly due to injury and sometimes has not even made the squad on matchday with the recent China game being the exception.

As we have previously said here, Leah Williamson would be a good asset for the England team at the World Cup and it would be a nice surprise to see her involved even as the 23rd player.
