Hector Bellerin.

What is there to say that we haven’t already said at length?

Coming into the side after Mathieu Debuchy was Stoked, he has improved with every appearance to the point where he is being linked with a return to Barcelona to replace Dani Alves.

He’s not going.

As he said recently, his goal in life was to become a footballer, not a Barcelona player.

Besides, even if he wanted to go, Arsene Wenger has no intentions of letting him leave.

“I’m surprised how quickly he has settled in and that is down to personality,” Wenger told reporters at his press conference. “Of course he has adapted very well.

“He had a difficult start at Dortmund but he has recovered very well and has improved permanently.

“He’s only 20 years old now. Him and Chambers are 20 years old and they have had two outstanding seasons together.

“He came at 16 so I consider him a real Arsenal player.”

Quite what Wenger does now that Debuchy is fit is anyone’s guess.

I’d fully expect Bellerin to start at Turf Moor against Burnley on Saturday but will Wenger then opt for the experience of Debuchy as we look to seal fourth second place and the FA Cup once again?

It’s a really hard call to make. Bellerin certainly doesn’t deserve to be dropped, but we must remember that he is only 20 and we need to be careful not to burn him out.

It’s certainly a decision I wouldn’t like to have to make.
