Olivier Giroud and Arsene Wenger have been named Barclay’s Player and Manager of the Month for March.
Arsenal won all four of their Premier League games in March while Giroud netted five times in four games to ensure that Harry Kane did not win the accolade for the third month in a row.
If you don’t think that the Harry Kane hype has been beyond ridiculous then just take a minute to consider that had the Tottenham man won the award, he would have become the first player to ever win it three times in a row.
Now take a minute to think of some of the truly world class players who have graced the Premier League.
Get it now?
Anyway, common sense prevailed and the award went to the right player. With the manager winning all his games during the last month, it was impossible to see it going to anyone else.
The Arsenal duo were presented with their trophies at London Colney.
