Wembley! Wembley! We’re the famous Arsenal, and we’re going to Wembley!

Before the game we got our writers together to predict what they thought would happen.

Here’s how we did.

Lee Hurley Win 4-0

Couldn’t have been more wrong with my prediction. Couldn’t care less!

Wembley! Wembley!

Helen Trantum Win 2-0

WEMBERLEYYYYY, WEMBERLEYYYYY, WE’RE THE FAMOUS ARSENAL AND WE’RE GOING (BACK) TO WEMBERLEYYYYY (AGAIN).

Stephen Bradley Win 3-0

‘Whilst it’s tempting to be ‘that’ guy and predict extra-time or penalties just so I can say ‘I told you so’ if it happens………..’

Can’t believe I let me convince myself that we’d have an easy game at Wembley. It never, ever happens!!!

Full credit to Reading though, they out-worked and out-battled us for 105 mins. Arsenal made the better chances, but Reading didn’t deserve to lose in the fashion that they did.

Paul Williams Win 2-0

Mega stress? Check. Two goals? Check. Not much else to say, the main thing is we’ll be defending our trophy on the 30th May.

Well they don’t like to make it easy. I expected a win but no extra time. A solid performance and we got…the usual nerve wracking arsenal experience.

Not my 2-0 prediction basically.

Still it’s another FA Cup final

Lewis Ambrose Win 3-0

That wasn’t fun, but we did enough.

I really expected a comfortable game like my 3-0 prediction but we totally lost control of it after halftime.

Weird reshuffling of the defence didn’t help. But we did enough.

Nia Griffiths Win 2-0

We were so lucky. We seemed tired and a bit like we couldn’t be bothered.

The second goal was a complete blunder on their goalkeeper’s behalf; although by that stage I didn’t care.

I predicted we’d win by two goals and it wasn’t quite as comfortable as we’d like but still… we’re through.

Other than that, Reading played well and I’m glad we’re through to the final, even if I now have heart palpitations.

Sean Ferguson Win 2-0

Sorry. Been drinking since one so in no position to give a review just yet. Wem-ber-ley!

Mark Fine Win 2-0

We scored two, but not exactly the way I thought we would. We started the game patiently and confidently, as I expected, making Reading run around and wear themselves out… and then Szczesny let one in.

That’s when the game plan changed to all hands on deck. Not to be outdone, Reading’s Federici decided to do something similar in extra time, letting in Alexis’ second – again, how is Kane favourite for POTY?

Bring on the Chavs.

Anita Sambol Win 3-1

WEMBERLEEEEYYYYYY

Charlotte Marshall Win 2-0

Hands have finally stopped shaking enough to write this, just read back my prediction of a ‘relatively simple’ win and laughed in my own face (yes that is possible).

For me too many changes at the back really affected the team dynamic, and on another day we could have lost that.

Anyway, good enough – just!
