Arsenal couldn’t break down a stubborn Chelsea defence on Sunday afternoon and saw their winning run come to an end with a 0-0 draw.

In what was a relatively entertaining game despite the scoreline, the Gunners perhaps fashioned the best chances in the second half after dominating the first but seeing Chelsea create the better openings.

There were a number of notable decisions by the ref, Michael Oliver, which we will cover in our ref review, not least his refusal to give Chelsea a penalty when David Ospina killed Oscar.

Chants of ‘boring, boring Chelsea’ rang out from the Arsenal fans on the final whistle, Mourinho’s men coming, as expected, to stop Arsenal winning rather than with any intention of cementing their place as the best side in the league by trying to win a game away from home against one of their rivals.

In the end, there was much to be positive about from the Arsenal side, despite their inability to cut-open Chelsea’s bus.

Referee review, tactical analysis and player ratings to come.
