Nabil Fekir has been linked with Arsenal for a while now.

That’s not surprising; he’s an attacking midfielder and we all know how Arsene Wenger loves to collect those.

Of course, Arsenal aren’t the only club said to be interested in him with Manchester City looking to spend some more this summer on players who might actually give a damn.

Nabil Fekir’s father has been speaking about the move and the club’s interested in him urging him to pick Arsenal over City where he could find himself stuck on the bench.

This isn’t the first time his father has urged such a thing. Back in December he said “If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal.

“It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger.

“He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.”

Lyon's Nabil Fekir

This time around he’s told Foot Mercato “They [Lyon] pushed for him to sign for City. But I told them if he goes to City and finds himself on the bench, it doesn’t interest me, and the kid is not interested either.

“He loves to play, he does not like to be replaced. And they pushed to sign him for City, that’s why he preferred to stop with them.”

Just 21 and undoubtedly talented, his father clearly wants the Gunners to make a move.

Will they? And will they do it at a price that pleases Lyon with Manchester City sniffing around?

That is the question…
