Arsenal were apparently weighing up a move for PSV’s Memphis Depay but have decided against it.

According to a report in De Telegraaf, the Gunners were not put off by his €20m price-tag, wage demands or any of the sort of stuff that usually makes Arsene Wenger freak out, but because they’ve watched him and don’t consider him good enough in certain areas.

Heavily linked with Manchester United, as Sport Witness said, it’s all set up perfectly for the tabloids to claim DEPAY SNUBS ARSENAL should be opt to sign for the Old Trafford side.

PSV are prepared to let the 21-year-old winger, who has 25 goals in his 36 appearances this season, leave should they get an offer of €20m or more for the international.

With Arsenal looking for wide players asLukas Podolski and Joel Campbell are unlikely to have any sort of future at the club, it seems Depay is one we can cross of the list.
