Laurent Koscielny was substituted in the second half of the game against Liverpool.

Every Arsenal fan everywhere sighed as the player was replaced as it had only been moments before they’d been celebrating having a fully-fit squad for the first time in living memory.

45 minutes that lasted before Kos, and then Aaron Ramsey, were withdrawn with injury.

The first fears of everyone was that it could be a recurrence of the Achilles problems that have dogged him this season, but thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case.

“He had a muscular problem on his thigh,” Wenger told the press, “but a small one.”

With Arsenals next game not until Saturday 11th April (a trip to Burnley) Kos has plenty of time to recover and, even if he isn’t able to do so in time, we know we have more than adequate cover in Gabriel.

Choices and cover – what a wonderful time to be alive!
