After a stunning 4-1 victory against Liverpool, Oliver Giroud and Hector Bellerin describe how the team are taking the league ‘game by game’.

The Frenchman, who scored a delicious strike in the dying minutes of Arsenal’s Premier League match against Liverpool, has spoken about how he and the rest of the team set out to put the opposition under pressure from the outset:

“We knew that Liverpool start games well and we wanted to put them under pressure from the beginning of the game.”

He admits that they could’ve scored more in the first half, however “we were really pleased to go back in the dressing room 3-0 up.”

When it comes to the rest of the season, he explains how it’s important to remain focussed and not concentrate too closely on the other teams around us in the league, like Chelsea and Manchester City:

“We want to look forward now and win every single game. After that, let’s see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Hector Bellerin who scored himself in the first half and is having a fantastic season so far, reiterated the need to take each match as it comes, and not to get ahead of themselves:

“The team is definitely doing really well and we’re just looking game by game to get the best performances that we can and as many points as we can.”

However, he is allowing himself a little optimism and daring to dream:

“The team is working really hard and have a lot of solidarity. If we keep going like that we can do something really big.”
