Francis Coquelin was Arsenal’s standout performer against Burnley on Saturday.

The midfielder, who put in a massive 11 interceptions (for contrast, Matic has made nine in his last seven games), was rightly awarded the Man of the Match award.

How delighted does he look?

I’m not sure what else can be said about the Frenchman since his return to the club, but if ever a player was showing that he was determined to take his chance with both hands and feet, then Francis is that player.

Perhaps, more than anything, he learned what life was like away from Arsenal on his many loan spells and realised that’s not what he wants at all.
